Going back...

I’m going back to my first blog love…CaffeinatedFaith.  I’ve taken enough time off from it - and now it’s time to return.  So, that means this little blog that I use…don’t use…use…don’t use…..yadda, yadda - is gonna go quiet.  So, for the 2…maybe 3 people that read this….come join me at www.caffeinatedfaith.com.  IT’s still a work in progress.  Over the next few days I’ll be tweeking, updating, changing the site a bit……bare with me.  :)

I’ve had a Grand Central account for a few years now.  I went to check it today after ignoring it for awhile & I had one voicemail on there from 2/27.  ummm…listen.

“Leighton For indicates that North America now holds the distinguished honor of being the third largest mission field in the English-speaking world. And the United States has more secular, unchurched people than most nations of the world, yet many churches don’t seem to operate in light of that fact.”

Chew on that for a moment. I doubt any of us realized it…..

Days off are rarely ever a true “day off”. Thursday are my days off from the Apple Store- but at home there is a ton to do. Back to “work” I go.

A little idea I stole from pat dryburgh .  I”m going to try to post a picture each do that describes the day in one snap shot.
Today:  Stress.  Hands down one of the most stressful days I’ve had in years.

“I love days when you hear the voice of God so clearly.
Days when he just seems so close that you swear if you turn around quick enough, you’d be able to catch a glimpse.
Just a few minutes ago I was cleaning the counters in the kitchen.
I do it quite often. Wipe them down so they look all pretty.
But the voice inside me said I wasn’t really cleaning the whole counter. I was just cleaning the part people see. That in order for the countertops to be “clean,” I was going to have to work a little harder. Pick some stuff up and clean even the parts people don’t see.
And then it hit me.
I do this in my life. Clean the parts people look at and pretend the whole person is clean. When in fact, I need to work a little harder and do some moving…cleaning the parts hidden underneath all the clutter.
I admit it. I am guilty of spot cleaning. Both around the house and in my personal life.
And perhaps admitting it is the first step towards fixing it.  ”

Great stuff bro! I need to do the same.
